Your consumer rights
Nothing in this policy or a proposal excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. Consumer guarantees can apply to business purchases as well as personal purchases.
Where consumer guarantees apply, services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for an agreed purpose and be delivered within a reasonable time if no time was agreed. The appropriate remedy depends on the problem. A major failure can entitle you to cancel and obtain a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for the reduced value. For a minor problem, we generally have an opportunity to fix it within a reasonable time. Other rights, including compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss, may apply.
Agreed work and changes of plan
Before paid work starts, the written proposal should identify the supplier, scope, deliverables, timing, price and payment arrangements, approval stages, usage rights and cancellation terms. An enquiry alone is not a purchase. Website and AI work through Brisbane AI Solutions is quoted separately where relevant.
If you need to cancel, postpone or change the brief, contact us as soon as possible. A change-of-mind request is assessed against your agreed proposal and the work already performed; it is not the same as a remedy for a service that fails consumer guarantees. We do not apply a blanket no-refunds rule. Any proposed cancellation charge or deduction must have a contractual and lawful basis.
Paid profiles and promotions do not buy independent coverage, rankings or a founder story. Outcomes such as sales, bookings, search placement and audience reach are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing; this does not remove your rights when we fail to deliver the agreed service.
Request a remedy
Email partnerships@brisbanefoodguide.com.au with your business name, proposal or invoice reference, a brief explanation and the outcome you are seeking. Send only information needed to identify the job; do not email card numbers, identity documents or passwords.
We will review the agreed work and respond about the next steps. If the issue is not resolved, you can seek assistance from Queensland Office of Fair Trading or independent advice. Nothing here restricts access to a court, tribunal or regulator.
