What makes a useful pitch.
We read every pitch. We reply when a story fits, and we are happy to attend under media accreditation and arrange interviews in advance or on the day.
- 01Lead with the Brisbane angle. A local venue, chef, producer or precinct beats a national release.
- 02Say who is available to interview, and whether that is in advance or on the day.
- 03Include dates, location, access and any media accreditation on offer.
- 04Link to a media release or fact sheet rather than pasting a long email.
- 05Real photographs with rights and credit help. Generic stock images do not.
- Coverage is never guaranteed and is not for sale. Paid, hosted and sponsored work is labelled.
- We do not publish public scores, star ratings or takedown reviews.
- We do not present a media release or public research as a first-hand visit.
- We do not ask venues for free meals in exchange for coverage.
