At OG Fudge, Sarah and her son Sam were working behind the trailer counter, serving customers and talking about their products. I enjoyed the fudge, and I liked hearing Sarah explain the recipe and the flavours she had developed. There was care in those details. I wanted to understand how it began, and what bringing it back with Sam meant to her.
What they make
Classic fudge, with room to experiment
Fudge is at the centre of OG Fudging Delicious. Sarah explained that their core OG flavours are milk chocolate, dark chocolate, vanilla and caramel. Alongside those, they rotate the dessert flavours each month.
The labels on the display during our visit included Apple Crumble, Creme Brulee and Strawberry Panna Cotta. That gives a clearer picture of what they do: familiar chocolate and caramel fudge alongside flavours drawn from other desserts. Cookies were part of the offering too.
I liked that there was a recognisable core range and space for new ideas. The monthly dessert selection gives returning customers something different to look for, while the original flavours remain part of the business's identity.

How it began
The recipe came first
Sarah told me she began developing her own fudge recipe while pregnant with Sam. She had been looking for fudge she liked, then started trying recipes and learning about the science of making it. Milk chocolate was the first recipe she developed; other flavours followed.
She described taking the fudge to markets when Sam was a baby, before returning to full-time work and becoming a kindergarten teacher. The recipe stayed with the family even when the business was no longer her main work. Hearing that history, I appreciated how much of Sarah's own life sat behind the product on the counter.
Sam later encouraged her to make good fudge again and bring it back properly. Sarah also recalled that the name came from a market customer's reaction to the fudge. Both the product and its name had a history before this new chapter.

Working together
Sam is part of the business
Sam helped encourage Sarah to bring the fudge back, and his contribution now goes into the everyday work of the business. During my visit, he was serving at the counter and packing boxes. He spoke about enjoying making fudge, especially seeing customers' reactions when they tried it.
Making, packing and serving all need doing, and Sam is part of that effort. Sarah also values the time they spend together. She said working alongside him had helped them learn more about one another; they talked about laughing together and coming up with TikTok ideas. I liked seeing a business she had started when he was a baby become something they could share.

Their customers
People remembered the fudge
Sarah said encouragement from people who remembered the earlier fudge helped them bring it back. She described former customers and Facebook followers returning, and the confidence that gave them in what they were making.
I saw another part of that relationship when customers came over and hugged her. We often notice how a business treats its customers; that day, I was noticing how customers greeted Sarah too. To me, those greetings suggested she belonged to the community around the trailer.

What comes next
Why online sales matter to Sarah
Online sales matter to Sarah for a personal reason too. She hopes they will give her more room to attend Sam's club football games, which she said are usually played on Sundays. Alongside the work of selling at markets, that is something she would like the business to make possible.
That stayed with me. Sarah has put time into developing her fudge, brought it back with Sam's encouragement, and now works alongside him. Her hope for its future includes being there for him away from the trailer as well. More Sundays on the sidelines is a small, human picture of what success could mean to her.
